New Year's Eve 2010

For my 3rd year in a row I was privileged to once again attend the annual New Year's Eve party at the home of Fred and Brigitte.

Fred and Bri are often referred to as the coolest people in town.  Their vibe is very chill, they will do anything for anyone, they are above and beyond generous.  They are kind and a ton of fun to hang with.

Every year Brigitte comes up with a theme for the party and costumes are encouraged.  This past year we actually had a shipwreck that resulted when the mast on a 36 foot sailboat, recently purchased in Tamarindo on it's way to Panama, broke and the boat washed up on our shore.  Brigitte, inspired by the boat still on the beach, came up with this year's theme.

The following is actually what Bri sent me when she made her discussion:

The theme for the party will be Ship wrecked in " time travel" ...your  time machine has broken down and it will take a while before it will get fixed as you need to order the part from San Jose, you are stuck shipwrecked in an era of your choice.  Dress accordingly.  You could be in Egypt or in the 50ths or in the land before time.  Choose one era and go wild.

And wild we went!!!!!!

I decided to pull out this year's very successful Mardi Gras costume and then changed it to "Tinker Bell" - still stuck in NeverNever land with the Lost Boys of the "Soda Mary Surf Team".

A ton of fun was had as usual.  I had no idea what time it was when I left the party until I got home and checked out the clock:  3:50 AM !!! - Giving me plenty of time to get a nap before the annual 10:00 A.M. annual surf photo on the beach.

Happy New Year to Everyone.
