1,2,3.....We Are On The Map

Last April Esterillos Oeste was awarded the Blue Flag - An honor presented to Costa Rican communities that achieve and maintain certain community and environmental standards that promote sound ecological practices, community efforts and coastal protections.

Recently our local committee made the decision to embrace one of the program's suggestions - Create and post a community map.

A LOT went into making this possible....as anything worth while always is.  Bottom line - it is done and just yesterday....the maps were placed at 3 different locations on our beautiful beach.

Both Karen and Brett are committee members and met in the morning to determine where the signs would be placed.  I tagged along, helped carry one sign to the 2nd location, was there to document each and every wheel barrel of concrete.
