July 18th - What a Difference A Day Makes.....

After the walkabout and tour of the town in the morning, Judy and I had lunch.  By 3 in the afternoon, the sun was out and there was no indication weather wise of the drama that had gone on just 24 hours the day before.  We decided to walk down the beach mostly to check out the road that runs parallel with the beach and see what had gone on there.  Like all over town, lots of branches but no serious damage.  Did however, see a few roof tops torn but not sever.  What we did find was a beautiful afternoon for a walk.  Unlike the day before, no rain - actually had blue sky.  After the walk, we returned to the scene of the crime - Vago's and there they were, the locals of course talking about the big storm the day before.

With Vago's now gone and the former LowTide which has been barely standing, now also in total ruins.......I heard someone make the comment.....Esterillos looks "beaten up".  Unfortunately, right now,  this does describe our little town with an uncertain future............
