Here's to Girl Power
Since May 1st with birthdays, etc, etc, I have attended more girl socials and activities than ever before in my life - seriously. I am not complaining just exclaiming this amazing chapter in my life.
I might have said this in a recent blog but my life growing up was all about boys and men. I lived on air force bases most of my childhood and seldom had close girl friends. I had no sisters, just 2 brothers. I was married at the age of 22 and had 3 sons. My family was involved with sports and boy scouts. My house was always full of friends of my sons. Every employer I worked for was male - except one attorney for a very short period of time. I have lived my life in a man's world.
I have only two girlfriends whom I have known for a long time but unfortunately we do not keep in touch.
Living in Esterillos has given me the time and the opportunity to get to know a number of women on a variety of levels.
Last Tuesday - before I went to Sarapique - my friend Anne had a small social at her house. Here are the photos of this gathering. While we were there enjoying champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, Shiela had us working on a project to help raise money for Margoth.
A gathering of women can be a powerful force.
Thank you Anne for a special morning :)
Pura Vida
